Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday with a commitment to work 15 weekend days per annum
Salary: CM Development £41,322 or CM Competent £43,104 + 7% unsociable hours & weekend uplift

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for substantive Crew Manager instructors to join our Training Centre team and support training across the Service. We are looking for outstanding individuals to deliver real and sustainable benefits for the public, transforming our service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants will require strong leadership and communication skills and be able to lead, manage and develop others, delivering the Service’s strategy through local delivery.

With the potential to be an effective manager and leader, successful candidates will have an innovative approach to deliver training across the Service to achieve positive results. With a strong focus on collaboration, you will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive working relationships and develop teams to improve performance. You will recognise the importance of a diverse workforce and promote a culture of equality and inclusion.

Applicants must be substantive and competent in your current role as a Whole-Time Firefighter or On-Call Crew Manager.

  • Strength Based Interview Assessments: w/c 16 March 2026

The strength based interview assess you against the following strengths: Relationship Manager, Judgement, Teamwork, Change Adopter, Resilience, Inclusion, Empathy and Performance Driver.
